Areas of practice: Foreign Investment and Exchange Control regulations, Corporate and Commercial law, Business law, Project Financing and Privatizations.

Advises local and foreign clients in matters of Foreign Investment and Exchange Control regulations. Also advises in the areas of infrastructure projects, privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, incorporation and liquidation of companies. She has also worked with clients in the area of estate planning. Represents local and foreign companies with the Foreign Exchange Authorities and Courts with authority in these matters.

Mrs. Palau was admitted to practice in 2000 having a J.D. from Los Andes University Law Faculty in Bogota. She pursued an LL.M. in International Bussiness Law (graduated Cum Laude) from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium (2003-2004). In 2005, Mrs. Palau rejoined the firm after having worked in Switzerland (Geneva) at the United Nations Compensation Commision.

She is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French.
